Did I read that right? What kind of logic is that? LOL!

the "appetisers" referred to on the brochure (assuming that's what you're talking about) are NOT the adult apps. No fancy onion rings, exotic salads, fried anything...

The kids' meals typically come with what's really "sides"...a small serving of grapes, applesauce, soup or salad...that's the "appetiser" they're talking about...

It's part of the "balanced meal program" that they're trying to promote for children. All meals are supposed to have something from each food group. The sneak the veggies in the 'appetizer' with the choice of a salad, veggie tray, or soup that has a vegetable in it.

I didn't think it was for "adult" stuff, but couldn't imagine WHAT it was. Our last trip was '06 and we're considering the DDP for our trip next June. I'm not thrilled that my 10 year old will be "adult" by Disney standards, so we'll have to do some cost analysis to see if it will be worthwhile for us.

Thank you! (and thanks to everyone who answered my question!)
