Appetizers on DxDP?

DH and I are currently on the DxDP, but I'm curious about something. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner....

Are salads and soups considered an appetizer on the DxDP? I don't always like appetizers, but I like a salad or some soup before my main entree. DH will eat just about anything, but I'm a little pickier haha. I've found at least 1 thing I'd like at each place, but I want to be sure I can get a salad before I order one and have to pay for it-and miss a 'free' appetizer!

I don't know of any exceptions, but in general you can get any "starter" item (appetizer, soup, or non-entree salad) as your DxDP appetizer.

I'm not sure if you can everywhere but most places will let you do this.

do not worry about ordering something and not realizing it will be charged. Every place will ask if your on the plan. Ask to see your card (so they know what plan your really on and not what you think your on since people apparently mess this up) tell you (again) what your allowed to get, and include if there are any special exceptions there.

Yes soups & salads (not the entree salads) are considered apps on the dining plan too. If you go to le cellier & get their soup, they have 2 sizes for the soup. the large size is the same as getting the smaller one (as your app).
