APholder & free dining?

I am an AP holder & I am wondering...if free dining is offered again this August can I take advantage of it since I already have my tickets?

Also, does anyone know if there are usually any AP room discounts offered in November? I am a new AP holder & am trying to organize my Disney year!

On the free dining, you will need to book a package with tickets in order to get the free dining. So your Ap won't help you there. If free dining is offered, I would probably look at the cost of a package with free dining versus the cost of your trip without it.

Sorry, but I haven't tried to book in November with my AP so I can't answer your second question.

To get free dining, all you have to do is book a package and just buy a one day base ticket for each member of your party. I know that is $75/adult, but considering that you are getting the DDP for free, that is a bargain.

I have done this for our trip in December. We are AP holders and I currently have a AAA package booked and we are buying a one day base ticket.

Depending on when you go in November, you might or might not get a discount. I think they usually come out around late August, early September. In the last 2 years, I have found that the AAA discount is better for that time of year, or at least it has been for me. But a bad AP discount is better than no discount at all!!!!!

We did this last yr. we were ap holders and the only thing we had to do was book a magic your way package and buy 1 day base park ticket for ea. person. you don't have to use that ticket so when you check out be sure and get a voucher to use it later it does not expire. that was one of the best deals: we were booked at pop for free dining. i received an email that said they had overbooked pop and offered us a free upgrade to saratoga or old keywest!!!!
so, we ended up in a 1br villa at saratoga and only had to pay the price for 5 nights at pop. my inlaws were booked too so they let them also have a villa!! it was awesome!!!
