AP will expire in the middle of a trip

Just booked a trip for Sept. 14-18, and our APs expire on September 17. I'm wondering how FP booking at 60 days out will work if we renew. You can only renew 60 days before expiration, right? So when my FP window opens (60 days before Sept. 14), I won't have been able to renew yet (not allowed until 60 days before Sept. 17). So I wouldn't be able to book FPs for Sept. 17 and 18. Is that right? Or would I still be able to book those with my AP?

I think maybe this should be on the FP sub-board, but now that I've posted I don't know how to move it there....

Book FP+ up to the current AP's end date (which, if you spoke correctly, will actually be Sept. 17.)
Then, renew on the earliest date that you can... and then finish booking that last day of FP+.

Posters can't move posts.
Only Disboard moderators can do so.

Hmmm, I think we started using them on September 17, which would make September 16 the day they expire. Might not renew and just buy 2 day tickets instead, which would solve the FP booking problem. Thanks!

I moved it for you. But if you see a thread that needs moved, please hit the report button to bring it to our attention and it will get addressed faster.

This exact thing happened to us 2 years in a row for SWW. I could only make FP+ for the original AP. Since you get a voucher on renewal I had no pass number to enter. We had to go to GS in person and get the pass in hand before we could make FP+ for the crest of SWW.

The thing that was nice, we stayed all 5 weekends and as long as I had on site resies, I could book more than 7 days of FP+ as long as I didn't add a day when we weren't staying onsite!

1. Nope.
If you started using the AP on Sept. 17, 2015, your last USE of the active AP will be all day on Sept. 17, 2016.
AP's are valid for 366 days.

If you don't renew, you'd only need to buy a 1-day MYW ticket (in advance) to cover the FP on Sept. 18.

(You COULD then decide to use and UPGRADE that 1-day ticket by using its value to help pay for an AP renewal, if you so choose, after you arrive.)

Oh I didn't know about 366 days! Yay! And good call on the 1-day ticket. Thanks for the advice, as always!
