AP Room Only Discount with DDE vs. MYW 1 Day with Dining...so confused!

I currently have a room only ressie at POP booked using the AP rate for 3/31-4/5. I thought I had this all figured out and have become totally confused again!

I was planning on purchasing the AP soon so that we can have it a check- in but if we decide we'd like to have the Dining Plan, what options do we have?

I know that I only have to purchase a one day pass to get a package to be able to add the Dining Plan, and then I can upgrade the 1 day to an AP after we get there, but if I do that then I lose the AP room discount, correct?

An AP room rate can not be combined with dining. If you book a package with any length pass, you can add dining and than go upgrade the pass to an AP.

If you have an AP and the low room rate, you could than get DDE for $60. It really depends on where you like to eat, which will be a better deal for you. (Also if when you do sit down dining, are you normally a soup to nuts person).
