Will we get an email about rates when our AP are going to expire?? If they expire in July but we are not going back until Dec. Is it worth renewing in July (we will still get two trip out of it) I saw something about an incentive to renew before your anniversary date ...Does anyone know how much the renewal is for DVC members before this date? Sooooo many questions ...Thankspopcorn::

We will be going in Dec 2007; however, we will purchase tickets for our Dec trip. Then, we will buy annual passes the summer of 2008. Our first trip on the annual passes will be July 2008; then, again in Dec 2008; then again in June 2009. Therefore, we will have received 3 Disney trips on 1 annual pass. Assuming that you like to go each December --- then, you have a dilemna where every other year, you have to purchanse tickets. This scenario is cheaper than the annual pass renewal option ---- at least for us, with our plans to have both a December and summer trip. Hope this helps. Go Vols!

Our AP renewal notices always arrive via regular mail rather than email, but some people here have said they don't get notified at all so don't count on receiving anything! According to this chart on allears: http://allearsnet.com/pl/apass.htm the DVC-discounted prices for adult APs (including the 6.5% tax) are $355.71 for a new AP and $323.76 for a renewal, so renewing saves you $32. A renewed AP keeps the same anniversary date whereas a new AP starts the day you purchase it (or exchange a voucher for the AP if you purchase by mail). So if you renew your AP, it will be good until July 2008 but if you purchase a new one in December, it will be good until Dec 2008.
