AP Renewal Subject to Availability?

Was looking at the updated wdw ticket prices and noticed that AP renewals are now “subject to availability” I hear that disneyland AP renewal discounts have been discontinued.

Is there some sort of limit on the quantity of AP’s that will be renewed? Will the wdw renewal discount also be phased out?

AFAIK anyone can still use the WDW annual pass renewal rates subject to what applied to the kind of AP (platinum, seasonal, etc.) but discount rates could disappear for everyone with a given kind of AP at the end of any Disney business day without notice.

Since renewal discounts disappeared for Disneyland passholders, it may be only a matter of time before the discounts disappear for WDW passholders.
