Hi guys! :goodvibes

So I'm looking to book the Disneyland hotel for 7/27 - 8/3 this year.

I'm actually looking to do that tonight, however I'm also thinking of getting a premium AP in the coming weeks, to use during the trip.

Firstly - will it be possible for me to add the AP hotel discount after already booking our reservation? Will there be any fees to update the reservation in order to add it on??

And secondly - does anyone know if there are any special AP rates currently running?! I've heard the standard rate is usually 10%, so if anyone knows of any better rates for the moment, it'd probably persuade us to get the AP sooner!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for any help! :)

Anyone??!!

I'm trying to book right now and I'd love to know if I can add on the standard AP discount later on!

There won't be any fees to change a reservation to the lower AP rate if you do get an AP. You can just call them ahead of time and change it. The only issue may be if you wait they may sell out of those rooms at that particular AP rate. They only release a certain number of days at the lower AP rate, then the price will go back up to the regular rate--no matter if you have an AP or not.

I am looking at the AP hotel calendar right now, and your dates show for the DLH and they show:
Standard room 360.00
View room 432.00

There are some random days in your stay that have no price on the date--which means they don't offer the AP rate on that date. You can still reserve the room, but will need to pay the regular price (like on Aug.3).

You don't need to have an AP in hand to book the AP rate. You just need to be able to show one (or a voucher) when you check in. So if you're sure you're getting an AP, just call back and ask to change your reservation to the AP rate. No charge to change a hotel-only reservation (as opposed to a package with tickets).

I just got off the phone with DLR room reservations. I am not sure the rep had this right.

1. I had to provide an AP card number to get the AP rate. (I am planning on getting an AP so I don't have the number)
2. They cannot hold room only rates for 24 hours (although I had done this last week).

With the ticket price increases, they may have also changed the policies.
