AP rates not good on weekends grrr

Ok so don't they know no everyone has the ultimate luxury to travel during the week!!! I understand the rate not being such a great discount on the weekends....but come on, why can't they just give me a little amount off. 135 for a value during the so called slow season?!! I think I'll save my money and stay off site for 40 a night...my room will be just as nice, just with out the convenient buses and proximity.

Anybody out there recently get discount on weekend rates for values?

I called a little while ago to try to apply the ap rate to my existing ressie for April 3rd. Nope, can't do it. Well, then why does it say "thru April 4th is what I'm thinking!!". The ap rates were previously thru April 2nd. What was the point in adding the 3rd and the 4th???

I've never had a problem with it. Now, I haven't tired to book anything for 2009 with an AP rate yet, as they haven't come out for my dates. I even got some Holiday rates discounted deeply in Dec for the weekend before Christmas, but this was booked by my AAA agent using the AP rate and the price was about $300 less then the quote from Disney. Go figure

I hate it when the good rates aren't able to be used on the weekends. Disney tries to be so family friendly, yet if we want to take advantage of the good rates, we have to take our kids out of school? Something doesn't seem right...

Ugh, this deal is not a great deal. WDW is mailing out cheap rates to random people, and those of us that go and are ap holders > get this offer?

I did the math

AP rates: I ran the numbers but with the ap rate NOT on the weekend > the rates aren't that great. Remember this is high season prices.

Example: ap rate CR gw / gv = $ 279 / $440 [weekend] nite which is {average out of my 10 nites ressie #2} = $336.80 per nite.

My 7 for 4 deal: with tix, [saving ap vouchures] and $200/00 gift card and same room category = $323.61 nite. So right now, I have a better deal cause I will save a few $$ and hold on to vouchures [pretty sure we will go again]

Of course, this only works if you have vouchures and are willing to save them, for a future trip.
