AP rates may be here soon! Just got off phone with CM!

Can anyone ever remember a time when there were no AP rates for Jan? My DH and I always buy AP's. We usually do 2 10 to 12 day Disney trips with each AP (one in Jan and one in Dec) plus we have had decent room discounts. This year we got a super good discount at the Poly for Jan through a TA so we don't need an AP discount. We are thinking about just buying 10 day hopper tickets this year and skipping AP's. That way we are not tied down to going to Disney in Dec and can skip a year or wait until Jan 2011. With the economy the way it is and all of the deals out there for the rest of this year plus the buy 4 get 3 for next year, it is hard to believe the AP group is being ignored.

Especially those of us who are Florida Resident AP holders. We're not getting anything on either side - AP or Resident rates. I don't know if anyone in Florida has gotten a PIN, but only living a few miles from WDW, I've never had one, and probably never will because the people who come up with this stuff will think that I'd just do day visits since I live so close (little do they know . . . . ). My stay in December will be my fifth stay within a 12 month period, and all of those but one were ten day or longer stays. Granted, I booked them at a discount - but I did buy food and merchandise on every trip (and they weren't exactly giving the room away either). I'm just really frustrated right now. My vacation budget has a limit just like everyone else's, even if I can see MK fireworks from my house.

My SIL lives in Lakeland, and they got an AP pin email for January. They are FL resident passholders. We are going with them in January, so they were able to take advantage of the pin.

We are AP holders also but no PIN. However, we were able to get a PIN discount booked at POP for January, but that was a mistake on the part of the CM. When I called to book our room with the Visa discount, the CM told me we had a PIN attached to my husband's name. She said his name was Jeff and I told her no, it was John. She corrected it and booked the room. When I got my confirmation email, it was our name (had my first name correct as well) but a different street address in our town. Anyways when I called back to correct the address, the CM found out that the Pin was attached to someone else's name and not to our house. It turns out that when the CM pulled up our name in the system, she went to the first name in the system that had the same last name as ours, same first name as mine, same town, but different street address. She thought it was our household. I just thought the system had my DH's first name wrong. I never thought to think she had the wrong person since I put in my phone number, etc., into the phone. I didn't know there was someone else in our town with our last name (it is a very uncommon name).

At that point she didn't know if we could keep the discount, so she then put me on hold to check, came back and said they would honor it. So we got a discount when we shouldn't have but it was their mistake. I would have canceled if we couldn't get it and booked under the Disney Visa.

Looks like I will have to do that also....:sad2:

I also booked a Value at full rate. If the discount doesn't come out we will cancel our trip. We are also going in August and are booked at $82 per night with free dining. I'm not going to pay $125 & $140 for the Value in February. We also bought AP's for the first time in August. I will not renew if WDW is going to stop offering discounts to their best customers. :confused3

I read that the rates are out through 2/11/10. Still waiting for the end of Feb...I think it will be a while. :sad1:
