AP Rates for November

Any ideas as to when AP rates for November will come out? I see they are out till October 3rd.

I have to renew my AP by mid July, but won't renew unless there is a significant discount (30% or so) on November rates.

Anyone have any advice or insight?

Check mousesavers.com for the historical release dates. But keep in mind the recession is causing Disney to keep changing strategies -- so past performance (and past release dates) are not necessarily an indication of their future discounting plans. Having said that...

We go 2nd week in November (have done so for 8 or the last 9 years) and we have never had trouble getting an AP rate. We always book what we want at rack rate to be sure we will be able to go in case no AP rate is available, then await the release of rates. It's always worked out. Once or twice we shifted resorts (small shift, like BCV instead of BC) to take advantage of the AP rate.

what is consistent since 2006 is that it is done on a Wed....Aug 16, 2006; August 15, 2007; August 13, 2008, July 22, 2009...that is an odd one....moved up a few weeks...and GP discounts came only 5 days later....so my gut says any Wed. now....and if the past is any indication of trends, i suspect one might need to book faster rather than later or perhaps the GP discount on room only rates may take up the space...

Yeah I thought it was mid August when they release the AP rates. Not sure if we should wait till then as we have to renew the AP at the end of July.

as all things appear to be moving forward, i suspect we should know before the end of July...this is really a WAG....
