AP Rates at the Contemporary for Halloween!

That damn DING! So, I got the DING this morning and checked it (as I always do - LOL!) and found roundtrip airfare from Chicago to Orlando for $120 good thru Halloween. Hmmm... I know we're already going for Christmas, but I wonder if I could get AP rates for a quick Halloween trip??? I've been unsuccessful in getting AP rates for the three nights we're staying at the Contemporary Tower in December, so I wasn't holding my breath. Well, much to my surprise, the AP website had all the nights I wanted, including Halloween, in a Contemporary Tower room with Magic Kingdom view. Wow! Time was running out on the DING, so I went ahead and booked the flights while I still had the passholder site up. I decided to call CRO to see if I could book the room with them instead of having to do it on the website. They had it available, too! I was thrilled. When I was done booking the Halloween trip, I had the CM check my December reservation for AP rates. While they still didn't have the CR Tower MK View room, they DID have a Grand Floridian MK View room available for my nights!!! I took them and am thrilled!

So, If you've been trying to get an AP rate applied to your reservation, don't give up!

i have booked a rack rate room at carribean beach resort in december for the mvmcp. I have been trying to get an AP/Fl resident/ or AAA rate. Any of the above i would take. but sad to say , none are available for the weekend that i am going.

but... i am going to keep trying... ya never know

Thanks everyone! I'm really surprised it all worked out with the AP rates! I was getting upset that I wasn't getting any discounts when all of the new codes came out a few weeks ago. I guess you just gotta keep trying! (using the toll-free CRO number helped ) As an added bonus, I just re-booked our already cheap flights yesterday, and got $100 credited back to my Disney Visa.
