Do they ever give AP discount rates for DVC properties? Is it usually better than the cash discount rate you might could get at the DVC resort for being a member?

TIA

for DVC resorts. We got an AP rate for a 1-bedroom for the Xmas weekend (Friday & Saturday 12-24 & 12-25) for $278.75 ea night inc tax. Same reservation for DVC discount was $382.50, not including tax, for each night.

Called CRO and got a 2-Bedroom for the same time for $433.74 including tax. I have wailisted for a 2-bedroom for 12-26 thru 12-30; if it doesn't come thru will cancel my 2-bedroom thru CRO.

Need Pixie dust from all for the waitlist;) ;) ;) ;)

I got an AP rate for a 1 bedroom in May (Friday night) for about $300 with tax. Member rate would have been $322. So AP was less and included full housekeeping (which was appreciated at the end of the week). I did have to check out from our points stay and check back in but it was in the same room. With the member rate you don't have to do that.

Yes, we have used AP rates at the DVC villas. In our case the AP rate was always cheaper than the DVC discount for the room.

Where is the best place to find AP rates?

How far in advance can you book AP rates / DVC rates?

Thanks. I am thinking about this for next August or November.

When I used to "rate hunt" I always depended on Mousesavers.Com.

Here is a link:Mousesavers.Com

You can also get a lot of info right here on the dis boards on the resort board.
