We are going to WDW in November. We are going for 10 days and have purchased 10 day park hopping tickets as well as the dining plan. Our twins are 9 years old now but will turn 10 in December. If we decided to purchase annual passes when we get there in November. Will they apply the total (around $900) of the amount of the hoppers we bought towards the annual pass? What happens when my girls turn 10 in December? Will we need to pay a prorated amount since they are no longer considered children? Would buying AP's at this time be a good idea? Thanks in advance.

The price you paid for your package tickets can be applied towards an AP. The transaction must be done at a Guest Relations location at a theme park or DTD.

You should purchase the child AP's for your twins. As long as the AP's are activated while they are 9, you can continue to use them for the rest of that year after they turn 10. It's part of Disney's policy of not punishing children who grow up.

As to whether AP's are a good idea for you, only you can answer that. It would depend on whether you have another trip scheduled within the year. Personally, I would say if you aren't going back that AP's for a 10 day trip where you cannot get any room discounts with them would be a waste of money. I'd stick with 10 day MYW tickets.

If we got them I think we would make sure we got them. Any idea how much they cost?
