AP Prices and discounts

When researching a Fantasy AP, I am coming across conflicting information online.
DLRPMagic says its 129 euro with 25% discount on hotel stays.
The French DLP website (my understanding of French is alright, but not great) says 139 euro with 40% hotel discount.
I'm assuming the DLP site price is correct, does anyone know if this 40% hotel discount is accurate?

The hotel discount varies as its up to whatever they say. I dont think its 40% for a fantasy pass and only rarely for a dream pass. It tends to be for certain hotels at certain times so you never know what you are going to get.
Offers like 40% off never apply to room only either so its sometimes cheaper if there is an offer on to go for the package even if you dont need the tickets

Yes, the French website says 40% discount for Fantasy and 50% for Dream, but all I've ever heard in various threads is that AP hotel discount is rubbish! Thought it sounded too good to be true.
Strange that no AP discount at all would ever be applied to room only rates, when obviously as an AP holder you dont need tickets :confused3

Sorry I think I confused you

If you have an AP you can phone for a room only price and will sometimes get an AP discount as well - it could be up to whatever they say (20%/40% etc)
However if there is an offer on they wont apply this to room only rates so its often cheaper to get a package with tickets with this discount than room only with AP discount

We have had some really good deals with AP discount but then other times it would have been rubbish

Thank you! This is good to know. We don't have kids so dates would usually be quite flexible - can you just phone up and ask when the best discount is or do you have to just check lots of dates?

Whilst there are many benefits of having an AP, the hotel discount isn't one of them. More often than not the room only rates on Expedia are better than they can offer.

Occasionally they have a good offer on a seleceted hotel on very selected dates but not often.

I haven't bothered to phone for AP room only prices for at least a year and a half, as they just haven't been competitive with either a package price, or Expedia room only rates.
