AP popcorn buckets...?

Hi! I was wondering about the AP popcorn buckets. We went to Disney in March and I bought a yellow Mickey head popcorn bucket. I can’t remember if that was a AP bucket or just a regular souvenir bucket. I am just wondering because I thought I read somewhere that AP has $1 refills until June something. We are planning to go to DL this Sunday and I was wondering if I should bring the one I already have or if I need a to buy a new one. I don’t want to be lugging it around if it is of no use. Does anyone know about this? Thank you

The current AP refillable bucket is the Alien and it was sold out well before the final date of sale of May 24th. It is refillable through June 21. There is no other AP refillable bucket for sale at DL at this time. However the Alien is available on Ebay with very inflated prices. AP refills are only allowed for designated AP buckets. The bucket you have is not refillable, sorry!

The yellow Mickey balloon bucket was not an AP exclusive bucket and, unfortunately, it cannot be refilled. As mentioned, the current AP refillable bucket was the Alien from Toy Story, but it sold out very quickly and it's unlikely they'll get anymore. The refill offer runs through June 21. In the past, the AP bucket has been a round (non-premium shaped) bucket, so this was quite a departure. Keep an eye on the Disneyland AP Twitter feed to see if they have a different bucket or offer for the rest of summer.

The first AP bucket we were ever there for was the alien bucket (we come from Canada 2-3 times per year). I have a question about future trips though. When there is another AP bucket and refill promotion can we bring our old buckets or is it only 1.00 refills for the current AP bucket?

In the past, the promotion was only valid for the current AP bucket during the promotion period.

I really wish they would follow Tokyo Disneyland's model or something equivalent. When I was there, it was $5 a refill but for any bucket. My cousin brought one with her she had bought a few years prior.
