AP Passes, DDE - when should you apply?

When and how do I apply for (2) adults (1) child AP Premium Passes and then the DDE?

We are leaving in mid April for WDW - can I get everything at the parks / Guest Services?

YOu can get your APs at the park but not DDE, you will need either your AP number or AP voucher number to get the DDE, you must call them to get your card. But you will need the number either off your AP or voucher to receive one.

But if I purchase the AP prior to my arrival, I will lose that time off my AP -

Meaning: If I buy my Ap on April 15th, I have til April 14,2006 to use it.

However, if I have to buy my AP in advance to take advantage of DDE, the AP will go into effect say March 1. Which leaves 6 weeks March 1 - April 15 of non-use and then for next year, it won't be active in April?

Am I correct? Or does the voucher allow you to activate once you get there?

The voucher activates from the day you exchange it at the ticket window at the first park you visit

the DDE is activated from when you first order it
they dont do that at the window

AP - purchase anytime, won't be activated until you arrive at the park and get it activated

DDE - activated immediately on purchase

From what people are saying, DDE card is taking forever to get. Just recently people ordering were told they were just processing orders from Jan. 14. Most likely you will order and get a letter of confirmation. If you order right before you go, ask them to fax the letter to your resort so you have it when you get there.

Four to six weeks but they will e-mail you a letter that you can use if it has not arrived by your trip. When you order ask for e-mail letter.

I ordered my DDE on 1/24/05, it has not even been charged to my Visa yet, my e-mail shows an expiration of 3/31/06.
