We're still milking our old park hopper plus tickets. We should have a couple of days on one of em and each have 2 plus options days. My DW's grandfather still has a valid paper ticket where they used to stamp the date on the blank box when you used a day. I think there's one day left on that one :)

Then again I was rummaging through some old momentos and found a Disneyland ticket book from when I was a little kid and there were still E tickets left in 'em :rotfl2:

We bought premium AP's last summer and are getting 3 trips out of them...they expire in August but we're not renewing them as we don't have any other trips firmly planned yet. Don't want them sitting there with the clock ticking on the renewal if we don't have a plan for them. Might just go with the non-expiring ones the next time around...the AP's created more trips than we'd normally have done (had to throw in one extra trip so that we would be sure to get our good out of them...):rolleyes1

With 3-4 trips per year, and the fact that we do a lot of Signature Dining, the AP and the ability to purchase the DDE card are the perfect things for us.

Ditto for us, except we only go once a year (but twice within 12 months).

Right now, the kids and I have MYW no-exp. The kids have 7 days and 6 pluses on theirs and I have 5 days on mine. In August I will buy a AP for myself. I will use that this Aug and next June. Next June we will either buy DH and the kids an AP or 10 day expiring. We have to see what the school schedule is when it is released next APril before we decide on our June 2010 trip.

In order to make the AP worth purchasing, how many days do you have to go into the parks in order to break even. Does the AP also include water parks? My last ticket was the 10 day MYW non-expire tickets, plus I purchase the DDP and was wondering if I should check into the AP for my next trip in order to be able to purchase the DDE. Not to change the subject, but which would you recommend the DDE or the DDP?

We have annual passes for DH, DD and myself, however DD will be starting college in Aug, so we have to recalculate our needs. Most likely DH and I will continue with AP and DD will get MYW. Up to this point the AP has worked very well, and has enabled us to make several trips which were planned at short notice when cheap airfare was found. The DDE card is an added bonus which we have taken advantage of due to the AP.

We like the convenience of AP's. If we had a relaxing day and want to go to see Wishes, for example, we do it.
this was our first year with APs, & we certainly enjoyed them :thumbsup2 . with our reg PHs (have a few left), there was no walking over to EPCOT just for dinner or Illuminations (or a grey goose slushie:cloud9: ) ~ we felt we had to be in a park allllllll day once we entered: no spontaneity & less relaxing, imho :guilty:

despite enjoying the freedom an AP affords, i'm just not sure if it will be cost effective every year :confused3

Got to go AP. Our family of 3 goes 3 or 4 times per year so we make full use of the APs. With the $100 DVC discount it's a no brainer for our family.

We were able to enjoy 3 trips on APs, yet would never renew it:confused3 ; imo more economical just to buy a new one next trip & begin anew

last June we took advantage of a BOGO year free of Universal APs:thumbsup2 in conjunction with MYW base 5 day tix

we used the U APs in Dec, then cruised

this June off to DL

Oct, using up odds & ends we have for 1 day in the parks & event tix (MNSSHP/HHN) along with the U AP before DCL cruise:banana:

just not sure i want to be locked into feeling obligated to do the AP justice...especially when we find ourselves cruising more often with just a few days in the parks and there are so many other attractions we enjoy:confused3 may just buy some non expiring base tix and add water parks
