AP & MYW dining?

Hello. Is it true that those of us with AP's can't take advantage of the new dining plan? I think it is such a good Dining plan for $35 day and I would love to try it. I know there are a lot of us with AP's so any thoughts?

Yes it's true you cannot get the dining with an ap. You have to buy a package. People have been talking about the DDE card you can get having an ap. I don't have any info on that.

Unfortunately, if you don't get the MYW package, including room and tickets for all in your party, you can't get the Dining add-on.

But, the DDE card might be a great alternative. It's available to FL residents and AP holders. The price is $50, and the card is good for 20% off at almost every Table svc restaurant at Disney. Some of the Counter svc places are included, too. You get a card, as does your spouse. You can use the discount for everyone in your party (up to ten people, I think), and there are only a few blackout dates- mostly major holidays.

The other advantage of a DDE card is that it includes "adult beverages", which the MYW plan does not.

I think the DDE combined with an annual pass is still a pretty good deal, especially since there are not many other forms of room discounts right now.
