AP holders ... have you thought of this?

Do you think the Best Rate Program will be modified to allow reservations at (or beyond) 180 days? This is needed in order to allow us (AP holders) to benefit from the 180+10 policy in order to secure our dining reservations.

For example, let's say you want to go on vacation next May 3, 2006. With the dining reservation changes, you would be eligible to make your reservations as early as next Monday, November 4th. However, those with APs will be unable to make the reservations for the duration of their stay. In order to utilize the "+10" portion of the 180+10, you must provide a valid resort confirmation number. Until the BRP is extended to allow booking farther out, this won't be possible.

In short, everyone *other* than AP holders trying for a best rate booking can make all their dining reservations in a single call at the 180 day mark. AP holders, however, will (apparently) need to call each day. Basically, you can either book at rack (or AAA) rates, and make your entire reservations on the 180 mark. Or you can wait, hope you get a BRP rate, and then pray that you get the dining reservations you want, weeks after everyone has had their chance. I'd guess at that point, you'd have little chance of securing the ADRs you want. :confused3

I suppose they would just need to release the AP/BRP rates sooner - thats the only change I see that they need to make.

Indeed, but I would have expected these changes to take effect along with the new 180 days change. My deadline is quickly approaching!

LOL! Do you actually expect 3 different parts of Disney to work together??? I am surprised that 2 of them did (Dining and Park Schedules)

Who knows? They may surprise us!

Hehe, yeah, I guess that would be asking a lot of them to expect a little coordination and organization across the board when rolling out program changes.

I suppose you could just make a regular ressie at the 180 day mark to give you access to the 180+10, then cancel it later if a BRP rate came up.

Initially, I thought that may be an option. However, I read from a CM on another board that when you cancel your reservation, dining ressies booked through that confirmation number are cancelled as well.
