.... apologies in advance if these questions have been asked before. I have a few regarding the AP/Halloween Horror Nights and from browsing nothing seems to directly jump out even though there are a few threads about the AP.

I'm planning on buying the AP's in near future but there are somethings I'm not clear on; tried emailing customer services from the official site but they were a little evasive.

So here goes.

We're timing our trip to take in HHN this year; going to get the Preferred Pass so I'm aware we won't benefit from one free pass to HHN - we're thinking more along the lines of Stay and Scream - but on the FAQ for HHN19 it mentioned that you have to purchase the Stay and Scream at the same time as you purchase your regular tickets? At least that's how I read it. When I emailed Customer Services they said no info was available yet and I could purchase the AP's now and still be eligible to get stay and scream at a later date- is this true? How would I go about it?

Just to clarify on Stay and Scream because I've heard and read conflicting things - do they clear the parks out at 4/5pm and then those with Stay and Scream can take advantage of the meantime until HHN officially opens in the evening?

If Stay and scream has to be purchased at the same time as the AP, what time does the information for the prices for the years event come out in general?

Last one is more of a general thing and I know that there's no info up yet - I know last year in California for HHN they did the Michael Myers house from Halloween. Halloween is my all time favourite scary movie; does anyone know how likely it is that this will be in Orlando this year?

Thanks in advance!

You can buy a stay and scream, which is just a HHN ticket anyway on the
day you are going or are already in the park. The stay and scream is really
just a holding area for those who are in the park and have a ticket for that
nights event. I belive you can buy up to 6 tickets with a Aph at the discounted rate(?). The park will close at 5:00, If you have a Ticket for HHN
for that night, they will tell you to go to the holding area(finnigans) where
you wait till they let you go.

I bought last years Tickets in late June I belive.

Much speculation about this years theme, I think Uni. is being extra sneaky
this year with information. We should know in a few weeks

You do not have to purchase the HHN tickets at the same time as the AP. In fact most of the time Universal won't announce the AP discount until about a month before. Just wait until the AP prices come out and then purchase.

You can purchase the HHN tickets with the AP discount...which is usually better than the S & S upgrade. All you have to remember is...you must be in the park prior to the 5pm close in order to stay. You can purchase up to six tickets with your AP discount for your friends but in order to do S & S, they must also be in the park before closing.

Once the park closes at 5pm, you make your way to the holding area which is usually in front of Finnegan's. At around 5:45pm, you will be released into the park towards a house that opens early for the S & S people. There are two or three houses you can do before the gates are opened for the general public so S & S is really helpful for getting a jump on the houses.

We won't know what Universal Creative has up their sleeves until later this summer. I think after WWoHP opens, they will focus their attention on the HHN website and will slowly introduce different hints throughout the summer. It's always fun to see what's different from one day to another.

I hope that clears things up for you...if not...just ask more questions.
:thumbsup2

Thanks guys! Really appreciate that - will feel far more comfortable about getting the AP's now which is just as well given the dropping exchange rates, I wanted to act fast on that score.

I wasn't aware that we can get upto 6 discounted rates too so that's great news, we have a few in our party who wont have APs so..

Thanks for the information regarding the benefits of S and S - will definitely be going for that option if you're likely to get to see more

I`m with you Yolkie.........I would LOVE there to be something about Michael Myers this year. He really does scare the bejeesus out of me :scared1::scared1:......but in a good way ;)

I was sent a HHN questionaire about 6-8 weeks ago and they asked loads of questions mainly about new ticket options and what I would be prepared to pay and suchlike. But there was a bit where they asked what I would like to see this year...............so I said a lot scarier than previous years and Michael Myers everywhere!!!!!

I`d be a quivering wreck by the end of the night................but what fun :thumbsup2

Yeah!! Last year when they did the house at Universal in CA it looked awesome from the vids on youtube, obviously though nothing quite like seeing it in the flesh.

Better still, they based it all on John Carpenter's version; but at this stage I'd accept any Halloween stuff!
