AP discounts?

Are there ever promotions for discounted AP's? I know they can only be bought through Disney, but trying to weigh the choice between 7day PH from hotwire or the AP.

The only discount on APs is when you renew.

However- before you buy, how many days are you going for? How many trips in a 1 year period?

I would use that information to decide which one is the best one for me.

We just got our first AP's this year (yay!) because when we looked at the difference in price, AP's were only $60 or so higher than 7 day PHP. If you can use them at least 8 days during your 365 days, you will break even. Check out mousesavers.com for the "break even" chart.

We are planning two 6 day trips(at least). Just not sure that we want to spend the extra money. 7day PHP are 302 on hotwire, AP's are 379+tax. That's a difference of almost $500 for my family overall. thanks for the info.

The discounts you will recieve as an Annual Passholder may help in the decision making process too.

Could you save more on your lodging with annual passholder rates than the rates you are presently paying?

The World of Disney shopping trip would also be discounted (we loved that part!)

Would this make up for the price difference on the passes????

(there are many more discounts too, like at restaurants and the such that you may want to weigh in if you would use them)

I'm sure there is a website to view all the "perks" to having an annual pass, but if you have trouble finding it, I have an annual pass and could help you know what types of discounts they are presently offering.

If you have historical information as an AP concerning hotel discounts from June 2004 I would appreciate that information. I am trying to figure out if it may be beneficial to get an AP for the room discounts and plan on June 03 to June 09, 2004. How far in advance do they offer the discounted rooms and how is the quantitiy of those discounted rooms?
