We are planing on going to Disney World in December this time with AP's since the AP discounts have not been released yet can we book now and when the AP discounts get release get them applied to the trip?

Thanks in advance

Rob

Yes, you can book your room now and have the AP discount applied when they are released. Be sure to look into purchasing a Tables in Wonderland Card. This card is $75 for AP holders and you get 20% off meals and alcoholic drinks for up to 10 people at table service restaurants. If there isn't a table service restaurant available at your resort (Value Resorts come to mind) then you can use this card there as well. This card has saved me a lot of money!!!

It's $75 now? Last year we paid $60 and we're about to purchase a new TIW in 2 weeks. I wish they'd let you split the bill with your party, as in paying half cash and half room charge/credit card. You can only use one method of payment which sucks. If this has changed, then that would be fantastic as we're going with lots of family in December and would be nice to save us all money on our dining.

Why not have the folks with cash pay the "person" with the cc/room key.

It doesn't matter WHO pays the bill, only that one method of payment be used.

Just figure it out in advance and everybody give the cc holder cash or Disney Dollars.

Yes, there has been an increase in the price for the TIW card. I just purchased my parents a new TIW on our recent trip over the 4th of July. I'll need to renew (they don't actually renew them, you get a new card) mine on our next trip in October. It has really saved our family a bundle!

Unfortunately, they aren't able to split the bill. Now of course, as has been mentioned above, just have your family members pay you their portion of their bill. The credit card or whatever that is being used to pay for the meal does not have to match the name on the TIW card. Any card can be used. So, if your family members have a larger bill than yours, have them pay with their credit card and you can pay them in cash.
