I've only recently gotten an annual pass. I'm a DVC member, so for the most part, my WDW rooms will be taken care fo through then. However, I love AKL so much, and I want to spend two days there on an upcoming trip before I switch to my DVC room. I figured my best bet for a good rate is with the AP discount. Three questions:

1. Am I correct that the AP rate is generally the best rate?

2. My trip is on October. I checked yesterday, and I can only book rooms through April with the AP discount. When should I expect to be able to book for October?

3. Are there times when no AP discount is offered?

Generally, AP rates are the best, although a couple of times AAA has been close.

Your guess is as good as any, but I would hope by the end of August??? Current AP discounts go thru June 3.

Yes, there can be blackout dates, especially during busy times. Disney usually releases AP rates when they need to fill rooms, which isn't a problem over certain holidays like Cristmas and Pres. week.

HTH!!! :teeth:

Thanks for the replies. Normally I do all my WDW booking way in advance, but I guess I'll just sit tight and see what happens.
