We'll be at POR for 15 nights in a couple weeks. We have APs but they won't be activated until we arrive. I was looking to see if there are any AP dining discounts (without purchasing the additional Tables in Wonderland). I saw several 10-20% off discounts on http://allears.net/pl/apass.htm. Can anyone confirm that through September 2017 these discounts are available to AP holders? Since our APs aren't activated yet, I seem to not be able to log in to Disney's AP website.

Great! Is noticed is says an Annual Pass Card is needed to receive benefits. What is an AP Card and where can I get one?
I thought since ours was purchased online, it would simply be on our magic bands.

My card came in the mail with my news AP Magic Band. When I purchased my AP at WDW Guest Services I was given a discount card then. I'm guessing it is the same with activation.

When I first activated my annual pass before entering a park, I was given the discount card.

Disney should send you a voucher that you take to Guest Services at one of the parks or Disney Springs (they cannot activate it at your hotel) - Guest Services will activate the card and give it to you at that time. That card is what you will need to show for discounts at restaurants and for shopping.

Definitely make sure you get the card at guest services or elsewhere as you can't get the discount without it. We never got one when we renewed our annual passes and I ended up having to go to GS to get one. In 2017 with all the technology they have with the magic band system I'm still surprised pass holders are expected to carry around a card.

I agree - I am surprised they can't just scan your MB either for this. I forgot my card one of our trips and had to go to GS to get one as well. Kinda silly and maybe an afterthought?

They no longer use Discount Cards, you will need to show your Annual Pass Card and be prepared to show an ID. When you arrive you will need to get your Annual Pass. Note that the minute you get it, it is activated even if you don't enter a park that day.

This is what an AP card and AP Booklet look like (from Kenny the Pirate) -
