AP Dining Discount Question

Can I use my AP to get the dining discount if my hubby uses his credit card- or does the name on the cc have to match the name on the AP? We are trying to decide how much cash to take....

Last September I used my AP for the discount and my mom used her CC to pay. As long as you are both there, you should be fine.

As long as you are there with your AP and your party member, you can get the dining discount with someone else cc.

We were just there last week and the CM at Rancho Del Zocalo would not let my parents use their credit card w/my AP discount. Had to use my CC.

I am surprised by how many people said they have had success with this. When we have been at DL, the CMs have been fairly strict about matching the credit card and AP.

I was there last November and had no problem with my nephew showing his AP and me paying on my CC. I upgraded to AP after that.

I've never had anyone mention anything about matching the AP to the credit card. I'm actually surprised that people have had issues! I'd figure that, like with parking, if you're there as well it should be a problem to have someone else pay.

Yeah that's dumb, you'd think that just because the card holders are there that's all that matters.

I've never had a problem with it. In fact, before my friend had a pass, at a CS place I'd pay for my meal, then she'd order and I'd again give my pass to the CM and my friend would pay... no questions, no problem.

If a CM had an issue with it, I'd ask to speak to someone else. As long as the passholder is there it should NOT be an issue!

Not sure about dining, but I overheard a cashier just last week telling a lady that if she was using her credit card to buy merchandise (at the Pooh Bear place), she could only use her AP for a discount. If she was paying cash, it didn't matter. Sounds like you may or may not have a problem depending on the whether or not your waiter/waitress enforces this rule.
