AP and Free Dining

Not sure the best place to have posted this, so sorry if this isn't the right spot

We have booked the free dining promo and gotten one-day tickets only because 6 of the 7 of us have AP's.

What do I do with the one-day tickets? Will they be on the key card or separate? I need to save 6 of them to put toward the next time we get AP's, and I need one of them upgraded for that stay.

How do I do this? Thanks!

They will be on your room key. But I have heard that they will put it on a separate card with no name on it (my choice!).
They can upgrade your 1 ticket at the front desk at the hotel when you check in. Have fun! We will be there also.

Do I just keep the cards until I need the tickets? Won't they expire at the end of my stay?

No, the one day passes have no expiration date. I have some in my 'Disney Drawer' to be used towards APs.

One day passes never expire - they are not activated until they are used.

Multi-day passes (unless you purchase a no-expiration option) expire a certain number of days after the first use.

I understand that the passes do not expire if you don't use them. But I thought that anything linked to your key to the world card could not be used after midnight on check-out date. THAT is what I thought would expire, in which case I wouldn't be able to access the one-day pass.

Only the dining and ofcourse the use of your key as a key to get in the room would expire the day of check out.
The one day pass will still be good.
