AP activation before checkin?

Hi, I am considering buying an AP to take advantage of a resort discount and also because I plan to return to disney again in the next year. The thing is I understand that in order to get an AP rate on a room I do not need the AP at that time, but need an activated AP when I checkin. My question is since most places give you a voucher, where do I activate it before I checkin. Our plan was to go from the airport to the resort and we don't have a rental car. What can I do?

You can activate it at any WDW ticket window or Guest Relations window or at the Guest Relations offices at Downtown Disney or Downtown Disney West Side.

I also got my first annual pass and am staying at a Disney resort for the first time. I'm WAY too excited!

You can buy an activated AP in the 2 airport stores at MCO. They don't activate vouchers however.

Many have reported that a voucher is enough to check-in, they may ask you to bring the activated pass back to the front desk within 24 hours. Many have reported that they never asked to see anything.

A word of caution. Make sure you bring indentification with you and your receipts for the Ap. My daughter had a problem getting her AP activated last month. There was a problem, but since she had her receipts for the Ap's it helped alot.
