AoA to Poly, AKL -- Door to Door times w/car?

Visting WDW for the first time in decades. We will have our car and traveling with a 1.5 year old. Staying at AoA. Have a dinner ADR for Boma and Ohana and will be driving. I'm wondering how much time it takes door (of hotel room) to door (of restaurants), taking into account walking, driving, parking, walking.

Most times people give are using Disney Transport or just driving time and I don't want to lollygag with a hungry DH if we show up too early or underestimate walking/parking times.

Without know what time of year you are going.... on a good traffic day to get from AoA to AKL it will take 10-15 minutes to drive. You will have to stop at the security gate and depending on how many people are ahead of you and what their needs are - ie: a guest who is there to check in, some one who needs directions, ect - you will need to show your resort card then proceed to the parking lot. The parking lot at AKL is very big and usually you will find yourself parking in the back of the parking lot. So assuming worst case it might take you another 12 -15 minutes to get parked, walk to the lodge, find the elevators that go down to Boma's.


To get from AoA to Poly allow 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The times I am providing are all based on light traffic. Then a stop at the security gate depending again on how many people are ahead of you and what their needs are - ie: a guest who is there to check in, some one who needs directions, ect - you will need to show resort card. Park and walk into the resort might take 10-12 to reach Ohana. That is if you don't stop to look at the beautiful lobby.


Remember we can only give you an estimate because we have no idea where you will be parked at AoA in relation to where your room is located. AoA is a big resort. I would suggest feeding your husband a snack to keep him and you happy.
