AOA & SSR our 1st EVER Deluxe!!!

So happy to see the great comments about Saratoga Springs. We are going in 12 days!!! So excited. Last year we stayed at OKW and loved it. No bus problems at OKW and the resort was beautiful. Hoping SS is just as nice and it sure sounds like it will be. A little unsure about the buses, but I guess we'll go with the flow. I was thinking of requesting Congress Park or Paddock section. Does anyone know if the buses are filled by the time they get to either of those two sections?

How did you like your SSR?? We have never even seen either place in person & this will be our 1st Deluxe,so we are excited!

SSR is a beautiful and relaxing resort!! I loved sitting out in the rockers on the "front" porch of Artist palette listening to the music, watching the clouds above High Rock Springs Pool turn lovely shades of pink as it set. It is a resort that I think feels like "home"! This is a good resort to put in your room requests - depending on your location you may have a lot of walking - I didn't mind it too much but it was noticeable. Also I thought the grocery prices at Artist Palette were not too terrible but of course they didn't have the selection of a grocery store and it was more expensive. I really enjoyed how relaxing Artists Palette was - great music, gorgeous glass lighting, interesting menu items. I didn't try Turf Club but hear it is great. I also loved the boat to DTD.

I stayed in Congress Park last month and there was usually room on the buses when it arrived at our bus stop. The bus went to the Springs after Congress Park and sometimes there were too many people to get on at the Springs. I think people would go for breakfast at Artist Palette and then want to catch the bus to the Parks. I really liked Congress Park - quiet pool, near downtown Disney and not too terribly far to walk to the Springs.

Thanks for the info. I think I've made my mind up.The family will like Congress Park Section. 3 of the "kids" are 20 & 21 yrs old and DD is 16. Downtown Disney is so close and they can go off on their own at this point. I can check in online tomorrow, so I will request that section. Hopefully the grant our wish! :wizard:

For Future Planning-
Since I am going Oct 23-Nov 1st, if any of you here would like a map of the SSR resort , pmail me with your address and I will send one when I get back.

free of charge, to anyone who wants one!:goodvibes

Congress Park is definitely a great location for 20 somethings and a 16 year old - well and I enjoyed it at 40 something :rotfl:- I felt like I was almost in DTD listening to the music from my balcony - and the pool was so very relaxing, adult, and quiet. Have a super trip!!:wizard:

I think its going to be a good fit. Hopefully we can get our room in that section. Just wondering if I should call and make the request. I realize that they won't guarantee it, but ....?? (I hate to be a pest) And, I guess i should have added DH and myself in the 40-something "kid" comment. ;)
