I have read the AoA thread...at least most of it.

We are taking my mom to WDW in September. We didn't use or summer PIN code, but decided that AoA suites may be better suited for our needs. For those who have stayed there, I need a little advice.

1. I've seen pictures/diagrams of the rooms, but would we have enough room and privacy instead of getting two rooms at CBR?

2. She is somewhat disabled, but gets around decently...how is the resort size compared to trying to get 2 rooms Preferred at CBR?

3. She will eat anything...but how are the food options at AoA food court?

4. Any other tips would be appreciated.

I found that depending on what building you are in, walking from parking to room was much longer at AoA than CBR. There is plenty of privacy--- two completely separate bathrooms. I think it's just a preference for you. At AoA, you'll all be together, but there's always a chance you won't be able to get connecting or even nearby rooms at CBR. Food court is pretty standard food court IMO. We aren't big food court folks, but the couple meals we had, there were plenty of options.

I had a lovely long stay at AOA last summer and it quickly became my favorite resort =]

I see that you are interested in the Suites. I would HIGHLY recommend Finding Nemo. It was so quick to get to the food court, pool, and buses. We could even see the Hollywood Studios fireworks from our room. I think the with the other suites you run a chance of having more walking distance if you are placed in the back end of a building. I much preferred the resort size/getting around to our stay at Caribbean Beach, but I stayed in a Pirate Room, so it was a bit of a hike! I'm sure that the Preferred Rooms at CBR are at least comparable to staying at Finding Nemo. But in my experience, the FN rooms were the shortest walk I'd had in all of my years going to Disney.

I also felt there was a sufficient amount of privacy at AOA. The main room locks off and you have your own separate full bathroom. We never felt like we were on top of each other.

The food court is awesome! Tons of variety, I never ordered the same thing twice. I really like their breakfast options, they even had burgers for breakfast =D

I highly recommend AOA, I hope that you give it a try!

We just returned from our first Art of Animation stay. We were in Building 10 (Lion King) and thought the walk to the food court and bus stop was pretty short. We liked having just one bus stop vs. the multiple bus stops at Caribbean Beach. We also liked that their were distinct lines for the buses rather than letting everyone crowd around and swarm the bus door when it arrives.

The food court was just a zoo every time we were there though. It was just over run with people and very chaotic. The suites were great. However, we didn't think the pull out couch was very comfortable compared with those in the Beach Club villas.
