Thx for the help!! It is so not easy. Now that I've started to think outside the 'value' box, even though I loved Poly as a kid (more than 30 yrs ago now), since this will be my 1st trip back, I'm do glad to have my eyes opened to other options from people who have experienced DW recently. Thx again!!

We visit WDW quite a bit and our kids love the WL! The Poly is spectacular but there are a few downsides: separate buildings and some room do not have a balcony. I love that WL is all under one roof. The CS option is fine and Whispering Canyon is a fun place to have a meal. The pool is great for kids and adults. As far are deluxe resorts go, it is moderately priced and has a great location. Good luck with your decision!

I asked how the buses were and he replied "Oh, you wouldn't want to do that!". He noted that they had driven and primarily used their car during their stay.

I would advise, don't let opinions on buses make your decision for you. Certainly use it as information to help you decide, but...any guest at any resort can have good or bad experiences with transportation at any time during their stay.

Yes, there are a lot of full buses, but there's been other times when my family has literally been on a bus alone. It depends on time of day, where you are going, etc.

I can't advise that every bus to and from AoA (or any resort) is going to be always bad all the time such that you'd "need" to rent a car. That's more preference and opinion than fact. Rental car fans will say the convenience outweighs the extra cost. Others will say the buses are fine and it's nice to save the money. It's more about what's most important to you.
