So, who has stayed there?

I'd LOVE to visit AoA our next trip, but since it's the two of us now, we don't need a family suite and Little Mermaid is it for standard rooms. Not my favorite theme, so has anyone been there? And can you sell me on it? :goodvibes

That section of AoA doesn't open until September, so nobody has stayed there yet. Sorry.

AOA itself does not open until tomorrow - and as noted the Little Mermaid section is not scheduled to open until September 15. It will be the last section of the resort to open.

Okay, has anyone seen pictures of it? Been on a tour? I knew it was opening in stages, guess I didn't realize that LM was the last to open!

No one needs to sell you.
WHEN Little Mermaid opens, September 15, it will be plenty busy.

There will be many reports on the boards AFTER people have stayed there.
The resort opens TOMORROW.

Little Mermaids does not open until September 15 or so and even though is standard rooms is much cheaper to get two connecting rooms than a suite anyhow..

Yes, I have.....I want Cars or Nemo! :rotfl2: There's no way I'm paying for a family suite when there is just 2 of us, that's crazy. Plus taking a suite away from a family that could use it.

No one needs to sell you.

Well, yes, I know it will be busy. I didn't think my not being there would put it into foreclosure, just looking for something to get me personally excited about it.

AOA will be a new resort and you will love staying there! It's bright and colorful and everything will be new, especially in the LM section!

The pictures for the LM rooms look like it will be a fun theme!

HI,

I have a reservation at AOA LM for my next vacation. And my DD would prefer to stay in a suite in the Cars section. I am partial to Lion King or definately Nemo when it comes to theme. But the pictures i have seen of LM looks really interesting and colorful and it will have its own pool and courtyard. I think my biggest concern is the distance to animation hall and the bus stops. WE will have our car and may find it necessary to drive instead of use the buses. We choose LM rooms because of pricing. It fits well into our budget as we have been to disney before and want to do some extra things outside the parks that will cost additional money and we love to go to quite a few TS meals including character meals that also cost extra money. We usually travel as a family of four and stay in a DVC studio room so we are used to smaller rooms. Im keeping my eye open for free dining or other discounts and depending on availability, we could change our reservations.

If its just the two of you, I would consider POR with a room discount if one is released. I have never stayed there but the pictures look so peaceful and serene, and the rooms have been recently refurbed. If i was going with my spouse i would choose to stay there in a princess room. The boat to downtown disney and the carriage rides seem romantic and peaceful.

We are a family of 5 with three little princesses ~ I wish there were family suites in the Little Mermaid section!!
