AoA is sharing buses with Pop?!

I thought AoA and Pop had separate buses. However, I read on FB:

From The World of Disney - WDW and Back Again (on FB)
A CM advised me that for now, the buses are being shared between the two resorts. He said in time that AoA may get their own.

But for now, if gets too busy then they unleash more buses.
and

Original plan was to share cuz so close and since AoA *was* supposed to just be another branch of Pop anyway. But then rumors of separate bus system and believe it was tried for a day or two. But now they are indeed sharing.

Perhaps in time, but for now...prepare for that extra stop if you stay at either Resort.

VERY interesting.:)

That is the first report of "bus sharing" I have seen since AoA opened May 31.:)

It would NOT surprise me since Disney is also allowing "pool sharing" even after going to the trouble of fencing and RFID gating the AoA pools.:)

They do not share unless something has changed since last week. I asked at the front desk at AoA and took the bus to MK and Epcot to see how the long the ride was from there, and we did not stop at Pop, although we did need to use the Pop Century entrance as the AoA entrance is too narrow for the buses. I was there 5/31 - 6/6 and there was no bus sharing at that time.

Each park we went to had it's own AoA bus stop. Pop had it's own bus stop.

Once AoA is completed there will be nearly 5,000 rooms between the two resorts. That's an awfully large number of people to share buses.

Been here for the last week and the only bus that was shared was the magical express.

I rode the AoA bus last Tuesday from Hollywood Studios and it was not shared. Then upon leaving I rode the Epcot bus from AoA and that was not shared either.

I hope it's not shared. Everything I've seen on here said they have their own buses. I just posted what I saw on the FB page and I hope its wrong! I don't know how they could share due to size of the resort

We didn't share when we were there either. The one exception was one evening mine and one other family were the only ones waiting for the AofA bus and a CM told us instead of waiting he would have the POP bus drop us off since their bus wasn't crowded.

We were just there, at pop less than a week ago and we never shared. A of A had their own spots at each park and their own bus. Granted I never saw more than 10 people on their buses at a time. :)

From past experience, POP busses are usually full in the summer. Not too sure how many AoA guests could even get on if picking up POP guests first. We had exceptionally great bus service last June when staying at the POP. Thinking about staying at POP again next June just because of the bus service.

So far... by reading people's experience.. no sharing!! :) This is good! Until people from the DIS start posting their experience that the bus is sharing, then I wouldn't worry about.

When confirming booking at A of A for 1st week or full operations CM said there's absolutely NO sharing of A of A busses with POP. CM cited too many rooms and guests as the resort will be massive at full capacity. :)

I've never understood sharing to be honest. On the way TO the hotels from the parks I can understand it...but from what I understand, the shared buses usually have a specific order right? A to B to C to Park. So what happens when it's busy and the bus fills up at A? Do they seperate? What about when there's wheelchair users at C, if A or B takes those spots, is C just out of luck until a free one shows up?

I've only ever stayed at Pop and OKW with the current bus system (stayed at Fort Wilderness aaaaaaggggeeees ago and I feel like the system was different then) and part of why I choose Pop over Allstars is the non sharing bus thing.

Yes C is out of luck but, if "subsequently arriving able bodied" guests are taken while a wheelchair guest is left behind then it is highly unreasonable if a free bus or van does not show up inside of nine minutes.

I just saw this on FB...

The World of Disney - WDW and Back Again

Final word on the #ArtofAnimation / Pop Century bus situation from AoA managers and Imagineers - At the present time, buses ARE being shared randomly between the two resorts depending on volume of guests staying and park attendances. It can change day-to-day though.

Once the #ArtofAnimation Resort is open fully by this fall, it WILL have its own bus system and NOT share with Pop.

As a long-time Cast Member just told me, "AoA's own bus system and not sharing was something we were very adamant about!"

Latest reports from just recent guests of AoA and those who are currently there.. NO BUS SHARING... at least not at the moment. :) Don't fret... it hasn't happened.. until someone from the DIS reports that it is happening.. but for now.. NO. :thumbsup2
