We've got a LM room booked for next week. Just out of curiosity, I searched the website for available rooms for our dates and only Cars suites are available at AoA, everything else is booked. But of course, every other resort has rooms available.

So I'm thinking two things. One, we may stay away from the food court because of the crowds. And two, maybe they overbooked and we'll get some pixie dust come our way. pixiedust:

Hey, never hurts to dream. And I'm going to be perfectly happy if I get my LM room. But I also wouldn't be upset with a free upgrade to a mod or to a suite either!

I think AoA is busy all the time now because it's new. We wanted to try out a LM room in Aug before moving to the BWV and initially there was no availability but then 2 nights opened up. When staying at a value, I generally avoid the food courts excepts for drinks. They are always a zoo!

We were there over Memorial Day weekend, and while it was crowded, the food court wasn't really bad at all. We only used it for breakfast, and we didn't get up all that early. We had no problems with service.

Values are always madhouses. AoA especially due to the fact that it's new and people are trying it. Also, AoA's food court is nicer and newer than POP's and many guests at POP walk over the bridge to AoA to use that food court, and vice versa.

Bolding is mine....

Not really always true. I have stayed at POP on three different occasions this year alone....13 days in January, 7 days in march, and 5 in May. I encountered Many times that the food court there was DEAD! I have pictures as proof. They also would close off sections so as to make less work for the staff because there just weren't people in the food court dining. It was empty! I'll be curious to see on my next trip (which starts in two days) how much of an impact the menu changes seem to have on the food court...may be hard to tell. But I'm going to watch to the best of my ability while I am at the resort! ;)
