my DD and DSIL are taking my DGD to WDW for her first visit next sept --just before she turns 3

which is at the end of the month--however my DD said that everything is set already for Halloween--they want DGD to see the WDW for the first time on its own magic and beauty and not all decorated--at least for her first time

anyways so when do they usually start setting up for halloween--

also I read crowds are really light right after labor day--how soon after LD do they go down--they want to go at a real quite time

last set of questions she wants to stay at AOA which they will be LM since they dont need the suites

so I thought I had read that LM never or very seldom gets any discounts--is that true--if they do free dining will LM be included in that

any other tips would for this time of yr would be greatly appreciated--we usually go the end of Jan and have gone in sept

thanks all

I can help with a couple of things. After labor day may be quiet, but it is still hot. As long as they know that and are prepared for it (hydrating, taking breaks in the middle of the day) they will be ok. Also, make sure they are aware that the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA are at the very back of the resort. They will have a bit of a walk to get to the buses and food court from there. Finally, there is no way to know for sure if the LM rooms will be included in free dining, if free dining is offered for when they go. It all depends on how booked that resort is for that specific time frame.

This year, they set up for Halloween before Labor Day, as the first Halloween party was that weekend. If they go in September, it will be decorated for Halloween.

As the others have said the MK is decorated for Halloween before September.
September is still blazing hot and HUMID.
There are no longer light crowds anytime. Early September, right after Labor Day is quieter but not quiet.
LM rooms are a hike from the bus stop and food court and are often excluded from discount. They don't need to discount them.

AoA Don't participate on free dining, is a high demand hotel, if My memory don't fail AoA has never participate on free dining not even Little Mermaid rooms

AoA does participate in free dining but only the suites. LM rooms are never discounted (I think it says this on the website even). I'm staying there (starting tomorrow!!) in a CARS suite.

If she wants to avoid decorations, crowds and heat, she may want to re-think her travel time-frame altogether. IMHO, early spring (early March), before the spring break crowds arrive or the week after Easter may be her best bet. This is a pretty good site to look at suggested weeks: http://**************.net/2015/10/18/2017-weeks-to-visit-walt-disney-world-ranked-in-order/

LM rooms are never included in discounts and sell so well, I wouldn't expect them to be included anytime in the near future. As others have said, they are also a hike from the main area of AoA. I would suggest looking into the Royal Rooms at POR. It's a much nicer resort IMHO and the Royal Rooms (which are super cute and bigger than LM rooms) are usually included in the discounts.

anyways so when do they usually start setting up for halloween-- I was there August 29th and decorations were up.

also I read crowds are really light right after labor day--how soon after LD do they go down--they want to go at a real quite time First couple weeks of September can be slower but not as slow in the past due to so many schools having fall breaks. BUT something to consider is if the want Free Dining, the bounceback dates do not go past a Sept 9 check in so if the public release is the same, they would have to check in before that.

last set of questions she wants to stay at AOA which they will be LM since they dont need the suites so I thought I had read that LM never or very seldom gets any discounts--is that true--if they do free dining will LM be included in that They have not gotten Free Dining and rarely get discounts. They may have to choose another resort if those two things are important.

any other tips would for this time of yr would be greatly appreciated--we usually go the end of Jan and have gone in sept
