AOA and Bus System

Good Morning everyone!

We will be "home" in 30 days and I'm super excited! We will be driving down from CT so we will have our own car there. My question is should we take our car to the TTC (or drive to the park such as Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios) or should we take the bus system?

I have not been to Disney since 1998 so everything has changed SO much! Thank you everyone for your input!

Generally I would recommend the car for all the non MK parks. But my recommendation for the MK for someone staying at AoA depends on where you are staying in the resort. If you are in a Little Mermaid room, I would suggest taking your car since the bus stop is so far from those rooms.

Not sure why you would drive to the TTC. Are you staying onsite? If so, you can get buses to all parks from your resort.
If you're staying offsite, I would drive to all parks. Buses to DHS and AK are now located in the MK bus area, no longer at the TTC. You would have to park, then ferry or monorail to MK, then get the bus to DHS or AK. Much quicker to just drive.

Ok, so I didn't remember you will be at AoA! Duh. The buses at this resort are very good. I always tell people to take the bus to MK though, and use your car for other parks if you want.
As far as where you are at AoA? Makes no difference to me. The walk to the LM section is just a bit longer than other areas. Being in that section wouldn't have me choosing my car vs the bus.

We are staying in the Finding Nemo Suites. I should also mention I do have an handicap sticker due to my MS (which I know I don't get a DAS pass) so our car should be nice and close.

LOL - I meant drive to the TTC to go to Epcot and MK and drive to Animal Kindgom and Hollywood Studios separately. :)

And we are staying onsite at the AOA

If you decide to drive, Epcot has its own parking lot. You don't need to drive to TTC to go to Epcot.

MK: Take the bus. If you do drive and park in HA, your walk to the TTC can be long and there is a large incline.

Epcot: Has a large HA parking area and the walk to the entrance is not too long.

DHS: Has a small HA parking area so it can fill up sometimes. If you are not going to be there right at RD, you might want to consider the bus.

AK: Has a large HA parking area and I did not find the walk to the entrance any different than the walk from the bus stop.

If you don't have a scooter or non-folding wheelchair then you may ride the parking lot trams. Just before driving down a parking aisle you can request from a parking lot attendant an aisle handicapped space (large colored spot at the start of each parking lot aisle. (He might alternatively have you do a small loop the loop and commence a new row out of turn.)

For the regular handicapped parking they did it wrong:

AAAAAAAAAA (road) HHHHHHHHHHH

Should have been:

AAAAA HHHHH (road) HHHHH AAAAA

saving scooter battery power and manual chair pushing where A is the triple A diamond area and H is the handicapped area.
