The title says it all, we will be staying there in September and wont have a car for the whole of our trip. I realise Disney transportation is available (and we will be using it), but is it actually possible to walk from the All Star Movies to anywhere else comfortably ?

Only McDonalds - but there are no pavements so it 's not really a good idea.

After walking round the parks all day you won't want to walk anywhere else LOL

Most of the roads in WDW are multi-lane, busy and have no footpaths. Unless there is a clearly identified walkway or 'sidewalk' then it's best not to walk anywhere.

If you do fancy a nice walk in the evening, then try getting the bus to Epcot, and then walk out of the International Gateway entrance between the UK and France in the World Showcase. You can then walk to the Yacht/Beach Club resort, Boardwalk (restaurants and shops) and the Swan/Dolphin hotels.
If you are feeling fit, you can also walk to MGM Studios too :)
To return to the AS resorts you need to get back to Epcot or MGM to get a bus back.

... I think "comfortably" is the key word! The roads etc are simply not deisgned for people to walk from A to B as Tim has said.
However, you can walk through to the other All Star resorts.

i always find this really bizarre... i've read other threads where Ukers have been run over or whatever on the roads in America.... do people just really not walk ANYWHERE in America?

The car is king in the US :)

When I stayed on I-Drive I saw American's get in their cars to travel across the road to a restaurant! Mind you, having tried to cross I-Drive that's not a bad idea LOL

Well as said you can get to Mcdonalds from the Movies, you can safely walk through The Music, Then the Sports and then there is a public road crossing that you can get across, it is a busy and big road, but the crossing does give you a countdown of how long you have got to get over the other side before the lights change to green, but as always, you do have to take care. :sunny:

We have done this many times but only in the daylight. :goodvibes

Jackie, they aren't having a car. However OP is staying onsite not on I Drive.

I think the post basically recommended you exercise due care and attention when crossing the roads on I Drive as you don't get a huge amount of time to cross.

Accidents happen everywhere unfortunately :(

Just take care and I'm sure you will be fine :)

Sorry I went off topic there

But please take care when crossing any of the roads
