I have a lot of Disney neckties but haven't bought any new ones for quite a few years. I've looked when we've been there and just haven't seen anything I wanted. Does anyone know of any stores that sell them outside of Disney? In the past, I've seen them at some department stores but just today, I checked Sears, Macy's, Penny's, and Lord and Taylor with no luck.

Any ideas?

Just took a quick look on Amazon (just put "Disney neck ties" in search), and they have 'em there......not the same thing as "in person", but.....(I know Penney's used to have them, like 15 years ago, but you said you'd been there, and they didn't).

I'd be rapt of went to see the doctor and he was wearing a Disney tie! Hehehe
I don't actually wear a tie at the office, but I used to at my old practice and it was almost always a Disney tie.

I had a patient, who happened to write for the local paper, write a column about me (not by name) because she initially didn't trust a doctor wearing a 7 Dwarfs tie but in the end, decided she was okay with it. It was pretty funny (she was a little odd). I still have that article (that was 20 years ago).

Thanks Heidi and Nikki for the Amazon suggestion. I don't know why I never thought to look there. Lord knows we buy everything else on there.

I'd be more worried if my doctor was wearing a XXX tie or something inappropriate, but Disney is certainly harmless!

From her column in August 1994:
"I recently found myself operating on blind faith for at least a few minutes. What precipitated my loss of belief in my fellow man was a visit to my doctor. It had nothing to do with anything the doctor said or did. It was what the doctor was wearing that threw me for a loop. I have a tendency to lose faith any time someone with an MD after their name walks into a room wearing a necktie bearing the likenesses of the seven dwarfs."

She went on to tell a story about something that had happened with her husband and how he believed that "God will provide" and concluded with this:
"I decided to have a little blind faith in the doctor who wears the likenesses of the seven dwarfs on his tie. Afterall, the staff still call him "Doc", which for a physician is better than being called "dopey".

Like I said, she was a bit odd, but it gave me a good story to tell.

As they say "never judge a book by its cover"

I have a Harry Potter tattoo on my hand... But I'm an accountant. And I have many other tattoos over my body, including but not limited to, my entire thigh tattooed on a Harry Potter themed scene.
I can see that some would find a huge disconnect with that, but it doesn't change my ability to complete spreadsheets and analyze numbers.

you might be able to use the newer shop disneyparks app for your phone to find them at WDW/WDL and have them shipped to your local disney store to pick them up. i'm not sure if a recent stay is a requirement for the shipping to your local store though. Pre that app, you could call guest relations at the park and tell them what you wanted to buy and where it was located and they for a fee would sell it to you and ship it to your house. I used to do this all the time when I saw something interesting and new released in only the parks or when I forgot to get something before I left a vacation. The shop parks app will help you find it and then you can try to call and see if they still offer buying and shipping it to you.
