Anywhere to get Boca Burgers or other Veggie burgers?

The two places that come to mind are Village Haus and Hungry Bear. You could check the menus on www.allearsnet.com. Tomorrowland Terrace is also supposed to have a veggie sandwich, but I have never tried it. The kids really loved Village Haus, so we ate their veggie burgers a couple of times during our last trip. :thumbsup2

The strange thing is...they aren't necessarily "normal" veggie burgers.

2 years ago we had veggie burgers at Hungry Bear, and they were the (assumed Morningstar) black bean burgers with spices in it. Not what we were expecting, and even though we'd had them before, it wasn't what we felt we had ordered. I mean, at the store there's veggie burgers, then the black bean burgers are next to it.

And at Taste Pilots the other week I ordered what was simply described as a veggie burger, but it was a *vegetable* burger, where it was completely made up of some grains to hold it together, but otherwise, just chopped up veggies like corn kernels, carrot bits, broccoli bits, and green peppers. I liked it! But I felt that it needed more description on the menu.

So if you have anyone who is picky (a kid, for instance), ask before you order, what exactly you're going to get, because I have yet to find a "normal" veggie burger at DLR.

Molly, that "vegetable" burger at Taste Pilot's sounds wonderful! You didn't happen to take any pictures of it, did you?

I didn't...I wanted to, but I was too busy dealing with my 5 year old freaking out because it looked too weird. :headache:

He loves veggie burgers...normal ones...sure do wish they'd explained what kind it would be (but it's possible that they just buy the type that they can get for a good price so it changes).

Molly, try Village Haus. It is a cross between a Griller Prime and Boca. It is not like what you just described. Hungry Bear last Oct was the same as we experienced at Village Haus in Feb this year. I think your bb burgers are gone.

Good to know. I'm just never hungry in FL (that's where VH is right?) b/c we're always there in the mornings! :)

As an FYI, the Taste Pilots experience was just on June 29...

Do you know if the burgers are vegan? I've asked the CMs before, but it takes forever and have gotten conflicting answers. I've even called up the disney dining line, and they connected me with the chef at Steakhouse 55 who said he wasn't sure. Eep.

I honestly don't know if they are vegan. Just from the taste and texture of the ones I had, I would think so, but I could not be 100% certain. It's a shame that someone couldn't just look at the box. What I had last was definitely a manufactured burger and not from a mix or something. It was very good!

I had a veggie burger at White Water Snacks and it seemed like the same one you had Molly. I reallllly liked it. I thought it was delicious. Here's a pic of it on the right :)

I saved this thread to my favorites - veggie or bean burgers are a staple of my teen DD's diet when we are in Disney (or anywhere else, for that matter) she also loves the ones in Burger King - is there one close to the entrance to the parks?

This looks like a recent picture. I have never gotten one like that, but it looks really good! Could it be that they switch out burger types occasionally, or just buy the cheapest at the time?

This is recent. I just went there on Sunday, it was really good!! I've never had a veggie burger at DLR, so I can't give you any other input on how the other patties were.

Not totally what yo asked, but Rainforest Cafe in DTD has a veggie burger. Though since I found the beauty of their quesadilla appetizer without the meat, I only ever get that there.

Also, I am almost certain that hubby got a veggie patty of some kind substituted on a burger at PCH Grill last December.

If it helps, WDW serves the Malibu burger and the picture looks like the Malibu to me. Here's a link to another thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2122556

It's the MOST expensive burger on the Gardenburger product line, available only to restaurants/foodservice (not retail.) I believe it's Vegan, but I'm not 100% sure, if someone looks at the ingredients (check the link) who is Vegan, they'd be able to tell you for sure. I always find some ingredient that surprises me, so I don't want to state facts here! (Like honey...hmmm, who knew!)
