Does anyone know if there is a place in the world to get chateaubriand? Thanks!

I think sometimes off and sometimes on! :D

has anyone gotten this? is it good? DH and i were thinking of trying it in may...we've never had it and have never been to yachtsman steakhouse. tia!

We have never ordered the chateaubriand at the Yachtsman but we've always been happy with what we ordered the three times we have dined there. We had a great meal - service and food in July. Try the sauteed mushrooms which are on the "sides" menu. I ordered them as an appetizer and they brought out a ton of them and they were wonderful. And the bread they serve before dinner...don't get me started lol.

Has anyone a review of the Chateaubriand ? is it worth $80 ?
I am looking for a restaurant for a nice meal for DH and I. He would not go for V and As or Cali G - looking at their menus.

That is what we were wondering .... we have not had it before and will be in WDW for our anniversary in May. We originally wanted Cali Grille, but now that I heard they don't dim lights for fireworks, we decided to try to look for something else! I have eaten at Yachtsman and it was MOST wondermous! I had lobster and steak when I was there before! Thanks guys!

The Chateau'briand has been off of the menu at The Yachtsman's Steakhouse for the past several years and my wife and I are very happy to see that it's back on. We used to always make one of our dinners here to get this dish and it was always excellent! We started to try other restaurants when this went off of the menu. Now that it's back on, we're going back next month to order it again. I can't vouch for how it is now but if it's as good as it was in the past - you can't go wrong! It was well worth the money previously! Now I'm hoping that AP brings back the smoked prime rib with the mushroom white sauce!

I must remember have it next trip. We don't seem able to buy any decent beef tenderloin at home. Maybe all the restaurants get all the prime meat. It's very hard to even find choice.

My DH and I are thinking about trying it at Yahtsman. Do you think it is enough to eat if we don't do appetizers? :flower1: I have never had it before, is it simular to filet?

IMO it is very good, worth the money and you proably will have enough w/o ordering an appetizer. We always order this when it's ordered. I only wish they did a table-side carving and offered Duchess potatos with it!

Yes. The Yatchsman Steakhouse at the YC has this for two. My husband and I love this and if all goes according to plan we should be eating there a week from tomorrow.
