Anyway to get to one resort to another without taking a taxi?

I'll be staying at OKW, I won't have a car, and I'd like to get to the Polynesian resort for the Luau Dinner Show. Is it possible? Am I allowed to take a taxi there?

Yes, you can take a taxi there.

Also, from OKW you could take the boat to DTD and then the bus from DTD to the Poly. Or take a bus to any park from OKW and then catch the bus to Poly. Or bus to MK then monorail or boat to Poly and reverse for the trip back to OKW. I'm not certain if they offer buses from Poly back to the resorts like they do after the Hoop De Doo at FW but that might be an option for the return.

I have had friends use Uber for this, and it seemed to work fine for them.

I'd take a bus to Magic Kingdom, then either monorail or boat. To get back to OKW, take Monorail to Magic Kingdom then catch a bus back to OKW.

Our friends used Uber and it cost $8.00 including tip! They waited about 10 minutes for their driver to arrive both going and returning.

You can actually take the bus to the Transportation Ticket Center, then take a short walk to the Polynesian or the monorail is 1 stop.... TTC is right next to the Polynesian.... Its not a far walk at all

Yes, and I have not done this but before you go you should go online and establish a Uber account if you don't have one. These are no cash transactions to protect the drivers and clients so everything is handled from their site (or app).

Where do you find a bus to the TTC? I thought Disney buses went only to the resort bus area close to the park at MK and not to the TTC.

There are no buses that run from resorts to the TTC. This is not a valid route. Quickest method and most expensive method would be a taxi. A second slightly longer but cheaper option would be Uber. Using only Disney free transportation, your best bet is to bus to the MK and then grab the resort monorail to the Poly.

The TTC is being used less and less by Disney for any buses. And TTC buses to the resorts have not been in use for many years.
