Anyway to get a "Deal" at Candy Cane Inn?

I'm not a member of anything like that. I'm wondering if I'd rather just stay at the DisneyLand Hotel if I'm going to spend that much on Candy Cane. I'm a bit confused about the loaction of DLH. Some say the "off sites" are closer, yet other things talk about "disney" hotels being right in the middle of it all. Can you help me out a bit?

I've stayed at the DLH, GCH and several off site hotels. If you are planning on spending several days there I would stay at one of the Disneyland resorts. They have more charm, and are easier to get to and from the parks from. If you are only staying for a night or two then save your money and go offsite.

I am staying there next month for $89 a night. No way can you get a disney hotel for anywhere close to that. From what I understand, CCI does not offer bookings through discount brokers so I guess AAA is the only discount option.

They usually have a website only deal on their website.

Also, you might try calling them directly to see if they can offer you anything better. I did that and got a little better than the webrate.

The Disneyland Hotel is at the far end of Downtown Disney. You can walk (about 10-15 minutes) or take the monorail and walk the rest of the way (about 5 minutes). There are hotels across Harbor that are a quicker walk. The Grand Californian is the closest hotel to either park (about a 2-3 minute walk).

We used AAA. Candy Cane Inn included a continental breakfast and had their own shuttle bus. It was also a comfortable walk to the security area for the park entrances. We thought it was a good value.

I have never seen a rate even close to theirs for any Disney hotel! We were only in the room to sleep and never even had time to hit the pools, so we would have wasted $ for the Disney hotel options.

We are waiting to spend Disney hotel $ for our trip to WDW!
