Anyway to get 2 night Disney Hotel Room cheaper after cruise?

We were originally going to spend 3 nights at the Polynesian after our cruise (which I booked before airfair!) and was able to get a $100 discount/night to $349. We ended up having to book our flight home the night before, so only 2 nights needed. When I called back to change the reservation, they said they could not offer the discount for 2 nights - so back to $449 a night - ugh! Since we only have a short time - about 2.5 days at Disney World - we want to stay close to Magic Kindom, the monorail etc. I tried the Contemporary,but they did not have 2 night availability. I have a week or so I can still make a change with no penalty. Any ideas or ways to get a discount at this point for the Polynesian?

I think that all discounts for WDW resorts start at 3 night stays. I know that I have tried to book 1 or 2 nights a number of times to add to business trips in Orlando and have never been successful finding a discount. You might try posting the question over on the resort board and see if they know something I don't.

Did you check the Swan or Dolphin? I know they have codes for discounts on this board.

If you are a AAA member you may be able to get around a 10% discount.

Do you have to stay on the monorail line? The moderate resorts are nice; either of the Port Orleans resorts or the Caribbean Beach resort. The buses run about every 20 minutes from all resorts.

Have you considered renting points to stay in a DVC villa? You could stay @ Wilderness if you want to be close to the MK. You didn't post what dates you were interested in, but I can just about guarantee that would be a less expensive option than what you currently have booked at the Poly.
