Anything wrong with AS?

5th trip to disney. We have stayed at poly, OKW, and PO. Our budget this year was very tight. Received free dining and booked at All Star Sport. I have read a few of the threads that are negative. Hmmm...am I making a mistake?

We went to WDW last month and stayed at Allstar Sports.. Honestly.. It was ok.. it wasnt great but it wasnt that bad.. We have now stayed at all of the value resorts and Sports definitely wasnt my favorite but thats not to say I wouldnt ever stay there again..

We've stayed at all the Values as they were being built and settled (happily) with the ASMo Why Values are NEVER a mistake IMHO: just what you voiced: the budget is tight and you want to go We could stay anywhere but why spend extra on our accomodations when we are guaranteed an annual trip and all the extras by utilizing the Values option! If you could go without staying at a Values, do so. If not, just enjoy the fact that there is a Values option so you can go!

We just got back from our trip in September and we were really happy with our stay at All Star Sports. We were in the Surf building and the room was fine. It was clean and other than the construction going on there wasn't anything to complain about.

Thank you...I was a little apprehensive. We will not be in the room except to sleep. I know that its not the Polynesian, but I'm not paying the "big" bucks. First time to go during Christmas decorations and EXCITEMENT is in the air!

i just stayed at sports for my 19th visit to the motherland.
came back home last week.

you get your basics there.
towel animals, food court, newly redone rooms, new mattresses and furniture.

it's not a palace and has nothing for entertainment except a pool and arcade room, but i only need a bed and shower for my stays at the motherland.

sports is my home away from home.

it's never crowded so less in line for the busses or getting a table at the food court.

when the discounts come out, you can usually find a room for has that discount at sports. most people prefer pops, movies when they stay at a value resort.

i know it is not everyone's favorite place to stay.
i'm not one to spend time in the room.
my time is spent at the parks.
i'm there from open to closing time on most days.
