We are going to see La Nouba for our first time next month. We already have our tickets. Just wondering if there are any hints or tips we should know about. Anything special to see or do when we are there or do we just go, see the show, and go on our way?

I'd say don't pay for Up front and Center. You are too close for the show. Try to get in the middle of the theater. The show is largely in the air.

Find out the story about the cleaning person and the dream before the show. You will get so enthralled with the show the story won't come through unless you know what is happening.
Also, during the show, scan all around the stage and the up in the ceiling to catch the narrator, the band, and all the goings on. It is amazing.

Get there early for the preshow with the clowns.

Enjoy...Ted

Thanks folks. Ted, how do I go about finding out the story of the cleaning person? Is that part of the show?

We saw it a couple of trips ago. I don't think you will be disappointed. We absolutely loved it. It took us about a year to convince our youngest daughter (about 7 at the time) that it was not Circus Ole'. Have a great trip!

There is no need to get there too early as they won't open the doors until a half hour before the show starts. We arrived an hour before the show started and ended up just sitting on a bench outside until they opened the doors.

I guess I consider a half hour early...the preshow is fun. I would recommend getting there to see it. Much of the preshow involves clown interactions with the people coming in "not so early!!!"

Peace...Ted

You will love it! The preshow clowns do interact with people and they are funny.

Every act has a main character(s) but don't ignore the other people on stage at the time because they do some amazing things too.

Remember that you cannot take pictures as that would be dangerous for the performers, so look into getting the program if you want visual memories.

Also, food is available in the lobby if you like to snack during the performance.

I can't wait to see this show. I am booking tickets for November. I chose category 3 seating because the price is expensive! So we decided to do category 3 so we could also do the pirates and pals and 2 of the mnsshp!

I just made reservations for New Years Eve. 9pm show. My concern is parking I know they have valet parking but can I count on it. I also have the option of taking a taxi. I was also wondering about dress code. I need comfortable shoes for walking around should I carry apair of dress shoes. We just want to play it by ear after the show. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Dress is casual, although some do dress up.

Not sure about parking as we took Disney busses.

Go online and get a map of downtown Disney. They have a large parking lot outside LaNouba. Parking should not be an issue. That whole side of downtown Disney is parking lots.
Most people were in very casual clothes.(6 PM show) What ever they wore to the parks that day.
We bought popcorn and drinks for the show. They were not cheap but come in a cute plastic souvenir bucket and drink container. I use mine for holding pencils and pens.
We loved the show.

Hi, New Years will be a great show. But like you say, it will be a busy night at DTD. Plan to park in far west end of the huge parking lot. Do not even try to park straight out from Cirque...park about 50 yards west of Cirque and you will find a place. So turn in the very first drive into the parking lot as you come in from the west. You will see Cirque off to your left, the big white tent like building.

Dress casual...no one will care if you dress up or not...It it warmish, most folks with have shorts...
Enjoy...Ted

It it warmish, most folks with have shorts...

Do you mean it is usually warm in the theater? That would be important to know. We always assume theaters will be cool and dress accordingly. If the La Nouba theater tends to be warm, I'd want to know that.

To be honest, I do not have any memory one way or the other on the temp...It was in the winter so may have been in slacks and golf shirt instead of shorts...I would say that 80% of the time you will want slacks not shorts and a light jacket in the evening in central Florida. I was just trying to emphasize no need for "dress up."

enjoy

I have read on this thread that they keep it cold in the theater. We were there in June and the temperature was fine. There were 8 of us and no one mentioned being hot or cold.:wave2:

Could someone please explain to me what a level 4 is? This is on the main DIS site but when I go tothe actual La Nouba site it shows no category 4. Any ideas anyone?
