Yes, I'm from Texas and I LOVE tex-mex....however, I do NOT like spicy food and it often doesn't agree with me (and on vacation for some reason, I'm already liable to have some days of my stomach feeling kinda gross).

We ate there once on our trip last year and I believe I got some kind of burrito, but I don't remember which one. It was too spicy for me. Any recommendation for something good from there, but most importantly, that isn't spicy??

Or would I be better off finding non-spicy Mexican food at Cocina Cucamonga?

Thanks!!

DD does not like spicy food. She loves Rancho Zocalo's Citrus Fire Grilled Chicken.

I love their salads. Not spicy at all, especially the chicken.

The one I had this week was very spicy. The chicken was covered with a reddish orange sauce. And I like spicy--however, it is very subjective. My DGD6 couldn't eat her chicken burrito. She doesn't like any heat in her food. :scared: I had to get her pizza at village haus. We didn't try the citrus grilled chicken--that sounds like it me be a better option.

Just be aware that you might be better off somewhere else.

Thanks for the "heads up." I will ask before I order the salad or just get the citrus fire grilled chicken.....

I didn't find the enchiladas spicy. I didn't find them that good either, but I didn't find them spicy ;)

"spicy" is very much in the eye of the beholder tho...

I don't find the enchiladas spicy either. I love their soup, on a chilly day, and it's not spicy at all.

I get their kid taco plate. Enough for a light meal and not spicy.

So I had a convo about some of the best restaurants in DL with a cast member, not too long ago and I mentioned how I enjoyed Rancho. She stated even with her family being of Hispanic descent, the food has gotten spicier. I agree it has gotten spicier. Last time I went I was having acid reflux issues, so I ordered a tostada salad. The Cast Member was so sweet after I told her, she offered me a sample of the regular chicken and a milder chicken, to see which one I could handle. I chose the milder chicken and I think it's the citrus grilled, to put on top of my tostada, it was delicious!

So I would ask for a little sample and I'm sure they would oblige!

+1 on the soup and the child's meal. We tell the CM that we don't want the spice. The pp is right that CMs are more than happy to discuss with you and help you out.
