Anything new or better in the last 4 years? Table or Counter

We are Disney diehards but a sick grandmom and a new baby has kept us away for almost 4 years. So excited to FINALLY be going back. We will have 2 and 10 year old daughters when we go. We are staying for 8 nights. I got a 40% off room rate, I have a villa so we will do almost all breakfasts in room. Even some lunches when I take the 2yr old back for naps. So we won't do a sit down every day but I still want some fun or good meals.

The only 3 reservations I have made so far:

1. My 10yr old insisted on our CMs first night tradition (yes, I know the food isn't that good - we go for the fab 5 and to swing our napkins around.)
   
2. We are also doing CP breakfast at 8:15am to get in the park early and get good pics. My 2yr old loves Winnie.
   
3. LeCellier for an early dinner. Another tradition although the prices are The dinner fixed menu looks good enough for us though.

Trying to stick to inside the parks or Animal Kingdom Lodge as much as possible but if something is worth it, let me know. We will have a car so transportation isn't an issue. Time kinda is though (remember, 2 year old )

Any good Counters let me know. We usually do Cosmic Rays in MK, Pizza Planet (for kids) in HS, Seasons in Epcot, and Flaming Tree in AK.

Yak and Yeti in the AK might not have been there 4 years ago. It is table service and counter service. Or at least it was last time I was there.

Tusker House is now a buffet.

Tomorrowland Terrace has a new menu.

There may be others that I'm forgetting.

You should definitely try Sanaa. So so good. And very convenient for you too Definitely the best addition to Disney dining in the last few years.

Is it better than Jiko or Boma. We have never done either of those and it is hard to make a decision.

My MIL will be with us so I know one night DH and I will have a dinner to ourselves.

I don't think this was an option 4 years ago, but Animal Kingdom offers a Picinic in the Park option where you order your food in the morning and pick it up at lunch. There are 2 tiers, one with sandwiches and one with chicken. They both come with sides, drinks and desserts. You can pick it up and eat it in one of the picnic areas.

La Hacienda de San Angel is kind of new and we've had a couple of very good meals here - and a tequilla flight!

For a dinner for yourselves (if you are wanting to stay at AKL for dining), go to Jiko. I think Saana is very good but it's family dining, much more casual in atmosphere and food presentation/service.

Boma is a buffet and is noisy/busy. It's a very good buffet but quite different than both Saana and Jiko.

Le Cellier is now a signature restaurant for dinner. I do not believe the fixed menu is offered at dinner time any longer. I don't want you to get caught off guard on this one

Thank you. I will look into this. The new signature menu is posted on Disney's webpage along with the dinner fixed menu so I just assumed. We are not on the Disney Dining Plan. It doesn't come out to be worth it for our family. It used to when it included tip and other perks and was cheaper. Now it seems overpriced, IMO.

I enjoyed Kouzinna and The Wave. I liked them so much that I've got ADRs for them next month!
