Anything I need to know before checking into OKW

We'll be checking in after a Marathon stay at the Swan.

This is our first trip home and I am very excited! We didn't buy at OKW but came very close to buying there and we could possibly add-on there if we fall in love with it.

I have no idea about the lay-out or what to ask for at check-in. I only requested non-smoking on the phone. We'll be in a studio and I am sure DH would love to be near a hot tub since the studio doesn't have whirlpool tubs.

Any must-sees or must dos or recommendations on what to order off this "new" menu that I have read about?

Thanks for any help with our 1st trip home with DVC and OKW. I am so excited about seeing it and staying there!!

No tips or advice but we're staying at the same resort and you're checking in on my wedding day! Have a great time!

We've stayed at OKW 3 times. I'm an early riser so I get coffee at about 6am and walk all around OKW. Never been right next to a pool but I would walk to one and use the Hot tub there. Once I did laundry at one while using the pool and HT. Man there's just nobody around at 6 am. love it

Only thing we didn't like was not having a sofa to sit on in the studio. We own at BWV.

I was just there and loved it...we are not members yet but I really have no complaints.

We used gardengrocer for grocery delivery and they were great. We had breakfast in the room (cereal and fruit) and drinks, snacks beer and wine delivered.

We were in bldg 30...i thought it was too far from the main bldg but not a far walk at all....

I recommend the pontoon boat ride to DTD from OKW; nice ride if you like boats and not in a great hurry.

Sajetto, I knew you were getting married very soon and I wish you a magical day and many happy years together! Where is the wedding? I saw a bride in Dec. at CBR-- my goodness, she was beautiful and it looked "fairytale-ish"!!
There was also announcement one another wedding at BWV's when we were there seeing the Christmas decorations.

Thanks for the tips! We'll do the boat ride and check out OKW early a.m. and enjoy the peace and quiet. We definitely won't be in any hurry while we are there. the fastest thing we'll have to do is the 1/2 for me and the Goofy challenge for him! LOL Other than that, we're gonna chill out!

I am wondering about garden grocer and what happens with the groceries if your room isn't ready when they arrive? Is that ever a problem?

I was worried about this too and thinking about getting ice from the vending machine if need be...

We were very lucky and got into the room early (1pm). I gave gardengrocer a timeframe of 2pm - 4pm to deliver and hoped we would have the room in time . They called prior to delivering to make sure we were in the room and everything was delivered in coolers...I would just give them a time frame when you know you will be there.

I hope this helps...we also used Fairy Godmothers for babysitting. They were wonderfull too!
