I am getting so excited about my upcoming anniversary (8 years) trip with DH. It is the first time we will be going WITHOUT DD!!! Shhhh...don't let her know! :goodvibes

I know May 5th is the start of the big celebration, and in April there were a lot of spring breakers...but I was happy that our anniversary falls in the very beginning of May. I am hoping for low crowd levels. We don't really plan on hitting the parks too much...we are booked at OKW at the moment but on a waitlist for BWV. If we end up at BWV we will hang out at Epcot a bit, I am sure. If we end up at OKW, we will probably just do DTD.

I am just hoping for a relaxing, romantic trip without a lot of hustle and bustle.

Ok, sorry that I added to the "crowd speculation" threads...there are so many! I am just getting REALLY excited and want to talk about my trip with other folks who actually CARE about WDW. My family and friends are getting sick of my ramblings! Thanks!

The beginning of May shouldn't be to bad (crowd wise). The only thing that I know that is going on is the International Flower and Garden Show but that is an ongoing show from April 15-June 5. Spring breakers should all be back in school by then so you may hit it just right. Happy 2nd Honeymooning!!!!! :flower1: :flower2: :flower1:

We will be there the first week in May also. I'm hoping for low crowds but I'm thinking with the Celebration there will be more people than usual. Even if it is crowded, I plan to slow down my usually fast-paced life and relax, take it easy, and just go with the flow.

The only other thing I can think of during May 1 -3 is Grad Nights. The MK will be closing at 7:00PM those nights (Friday and Saturday) with no Wishes or Spectro.

I am really looking forward to EPCOT as the F&G festival should be beautiful!

Oops! Never mind....Grad Nights are April 29th and 30th. I guess I am getting a little ahead of myself!

Grad nights dosen't effect regular guests(as long as the planned around them),as the MK is closed to the regular guests for that night. The kids can only go to the designated Grad night park(MK) and have to return with their school, by school bus, when it is over. My DH is attending April 30th,which is also her 18th birthday. She loves Disney and is very excited.

GIOny-Awww, thanks for digging up my poor pitiful thread that had zero replies! I had forgotten about it! I hope you are right about the crowds...and I will toast your good name when I have a cocktail with dinner!

Rhonda-Yes, I am not worried about lines at rides or anthing...we don't plan on doing the parks or anything. I just want to make sure the restaurants and lounges and pools are not crowded!

cdpa a CBcit-I am not too worried about Grad Night...cuz we are NOT doing MK this trip for sure. And thankfully the kids go home after the visit, so they will not be clogging up the resorts or restaurants. It was only 19 years ago that "I" went to Grad Night at MK! Seems like yesterday! :groom:

Well as long as your toasting me, could you do it with one of those colorful tropical drinks that come with the umbrella and pinapple? ;) :drinking:

GIOny-Ok...I promise! On Sunday when sitting by the pool...it will be a tropical drink with lots of RUM!

Cheers!
